Inclusive Conservation Initiative
A short film for the Inclusive Conservation Initiative, recorded in Tofino as Indigenous leaders from around the world gathered to talk about conservation in their own places.

The Inclusive Conservation Initiative supports conservation led by Indigenous peoples and local communities around the world. It is funded by the Global Environment Facility and run by Conservation International and the International Union for Conservation of Nature. When Indigenous leaders from across the initiative gathered in Tofino, on Vancouver Island, Salmonberry Studios was brought in as the local filmmaker to document the meeting.
Each person spoke about the issues facing their own lands and waters. A gathering on the west coast of Vancouver Island became a film with Indigenous voices from around the world, local in where it was made and global in who it hears from.
