Living with Fire
A short documentary for the BC Ministry of Forests, made with Westbank First Nation, about how Okanagan communities can adapt to a landscape with more fire.

Wildfire in BC is getting more frequent and more dangerous. Living with Fire looks at how communities can adapt, through cultural and prescribed burning, clearing debris and fuels, and silviculture and other forest work that makes communities more resilient.
The film was made for the BC Ministry of Forests in partnership with Westbank First Nation. Rather than government officials talking at the camera, it hears from Westbank First Nation Chief Robert Louie and band members about fire on their land and what they are doing about it.
