Stewards of the Basin
A film made with T'Sou-ke First Nation about its environmental team and the nation's ongoing role looking after the land and water of its territory.

T'Sou-ke First Nation has looked after its territory for generations, and that work continues today through the nation's environmental team. Stewards of the Basin follows the team on boats, walking streams and in the office working through data.
The film's argument is simple. The nation has inherited its ancestral role as caretaker of the land and water, and carries it out today for the benefit of everyone who lives there.
Salmonberry Studios made the film in partnership with the nation, reporting directly to it, and built it from footage gathered over several years of working together. T'Sou-ke First Nation has used it at conferences, with partners and in funding work.
